We always want to buy meaningful gifts, ones that our loved ones will open up and smile at. Perhaps something they've been wanting all year, or maybe something that they didn't expect they would get! No matter what the occasion is, gifts are fun to open.

This is also a great way for us to think creatively about our gifts for loved ones. Find out what they truly want because there are so many gifts that can be really beneficial to both their physical and mental health. If you know someone who has a mental health issue, then looking at gifts that induce relaxation such as lavender gift sets, or a spa voucher could be the best gift they have ever received. It can be a struggle to buy something that is exactly what they want and that's also in your budget. Despite this, you need to take the time to find out what you could give them that is affordable and that’s not in any old high street shop.

Take a little look at some of the ideas below for this coming Easter holiday season. These may include:

  • A voucher for the shops they love, vouchers mean they can buy what they want and in their own time, there is no rush and they can split it over a few weeks or months.

  • A new sleep care package - buy them some new bedding or new cushions for their beds, because everyone deserves good sleep but not all of us have access to having it every night.

  • A homemade hamper, with food that will never go a miss - food always is a winner! If you do not have time to create your own hamper, you can buy pre-made ones. There are some really unique ones on the market for all tastes and preferences. For example, for the coffee lover in your life, you could look at the Kona Coffee Gifts.

  • A voucher for a lovely dinner for that couple you know with a newborn that never get date nights anymore.

  • Spa dates for someone who has a lot of anxiety and needs to really implement some self-care.

  • Eastern Standard Provisions - gift sets of food and delicious pretzels, because pretzels cheer everyone up!

Recycle and Upcycle and Make it Budget-Friendly!

If you are on a budget but still want to give back to someone, then you can recycle gifts, there is nothing wrong with this. Of course, don’t give them something used and old but if you have things lying around the house that are in good condition and need a better home, then you're actually contributing to better green living and being eco-conscious.

  • Old books that you don't want, someone else may love to read them.

  • Old jewelry that you think would really suit your best friend, wrap it up to them in a cute pouch and make it look super pretty.

  • The clothing you have never worn but think your friend may look lovely in it.

  • Unused makeup or hair products - be sure to check the dates but if you have got makeup that you don’t use, then giving them away to someone else could perk them up and make them feel a little prettier and glamorous.

Giving gifts is good for you! Therefore, be sure that you are always giving something they’ll remember, and that will make a difference. I would love to hear your thoughts on gift-giving, so be sure to comment below!
