Poshmark is a marketplace where you can shop and sell your clothing, shoes, or accessories that you do not use anymore. They just opened a new section for Home goods, which is pretty exciting!

This platform is great if you want to get rid of all the extra things you don’t need from your wardrobe and around the house. Selling on Poshmark is easy and fast. Sounds great, right? At first, I was surprised to learn that you can potentially make great money and perhaps a full-time income. I decided to attempt this several months ago and I am currently a part-time Poshmark seller!

Check out my closet here! Sign up with my code LOVELYTATIANAS to get $10 of credit on the Poshmark app. But HURRY, this offer won't last long!

How Do I Get Started?

Step 1: Download the Poshmark App.

Step 2: Sign up for the App via the web or the Poshmark App.

Step 3: Photoshoot

Taking photos is one of the easy steps of this process. The main materials you will need to get the job done is a camera, hangers, and a backdrop. You can use your phone or digital camera to take photos & wooden hanger work best for the authenticity of the photos. Also, a wall is a perfect alternative if you do not want to get a plain white backdrop.

Step 4: List Items

1.      Whether you are using Poshmark via app or web browser. Click on the sell button. This allows you to connect to your gallery of pictures that you have on your phone or computer/laptop.

2.      Pick out the images that are well lighted and that are great quality.

Does Poshmark take a cut of my sale?

There are fees that Poshmark takes from your sales. However, I think it is definitely worth it because other platforms take way more.

  • For all sales under $15, Poshmark takes a flat commission of $2.95. You keep the rest.

  • For sales of $15 or more, you keep 80% of your sale and the remaining goes to Poshmark.

Step 5: Share & Connect

Poshmark is almost like an Instagram. This means that you can share & connect with potential customers and other Poshmark sellers. One way you can do this is by following others that have similar closets to your own. Secondly, you can share your listings and other listings from the community. Thirdly, attend Posh Parties. These are virtual shopping parties that allow you to share your listings to a specific them such a “The Best Jean Party.”

When it comes down to it, the more followers & shares that you make. The more likely you are likely to get a SALE!
