Spring Style || Dressed up for Comfort

Spring is finally here! This is one of my favorite seasons because it is that time of year where I can wear brighter colors and lighter material. Plus, I love those April showers. Despite this, I’ve been fighting against a desire to “dress-up” and a strong pull to just lounge around in comfy clothes, in which I have plenty of by the way. As a result, I decided to come up with a comprise that would definitely benefit me.

My usual style is more of a casual chic look. So I was going for an outfit that yelled trendy but was really going to be comfortable and easy to just throw myself on the couch all day long. I mean who doesn’t want that!

Spring Style|| Dressed up for Comfort

I picked an easy and go-to combo that I always refer to almost all year round. It is a basic knit cardigan and jeans. In comparison to my fall and winter looks, I opted for lighter material and more neutral colors.

I dug through my closet to find these pair of light blue jeans, which are from Forever 21. They have a distressed bottom hem that I love, and they allow me to move around perfectly throughout the day. Then, I stumbled upon a cute long lightweight cardigan sweater that I just paired with a cute cropped neck crow stripped t-shirt. I made sure that the t-shirt was not that dark and went with a navy and white color scheme, since the cardigan was mocha brown. To complete the look, I chose to wear my handy American Eagle booties and a gold necklace. These pieces may all seem basic and simple but when they are put together. They make an excellent combination that is super comfortable and gives the vibe of a chill everyday chic Spring look.
