How To Make Your Eyes Look Younger

01) Get some proper rest

Getting enough sleep is an important part of looking younger. If you're not getting between 6-9 hours of sleep a night, improve your sleep schedule. Proper rest will prevent you from developing bags and fine lines around the eyes.

02) Apply eye cream before bed

Speaking of sleepy time, before you head to bed each night, cover your under-eye area with a good eye cream. Some ingredients to look for include:

  • Retinol

  • Vitamin C

  • Hyaluronic acid

  • Peptides

These things all contribute to brightening the eye area and tightening the skin. Even better, they do these things while you sleep. So, you should wake up with brighter-looking eyes that no longer look dark or feel really dry.

03) Try cosmetic injectables

If you've got a really bad situation around your eyes with deep lines and thin skin, it could be worth considering some cosmetic injectable treatments. These days, micro Botox is seen as one of the better ways of treating the eye region. Looking at the benefits of small doses of Botox, it's shown that it can plump up the eye area and get rid of your fine lines and crow's feet.

You don't have to get cosmetic treatments, but don't be afraid of them. If nothing else seems to work, they can often be the best way to treat a beauty problem.

04) Protect your eyes from the sun

Two things need to be done here:

  • Wear sunscreen under your eyes whenever you go outside

  • Wear sunglasses when it's sunny

UV rays from the sun can break down pigments in your skin and cause darkening. As the skin around your eyes is so thin, it's really badly affected. Dark circles can appear, which is why sunscreen and UV-blocking glasses are very useful. They prevent these harmful UV rays from damaging your eyes and making you look older than you are.

Additionally, if you want to look younger, sunglasses stop you from squinting. When you squint against the sun, you develop lines all around your eyes. In fact, this is one of the main ways crow's feet develop! Wear your shades so you don't have to keep squinting all the time.

If you're someone that struggles with your eyes, try the tactics above. They'll help brighten this area of your face and bring more youthfulness to it.
