Ellen DeGeneres is set to end The Ellen DeGeneres Show after 18 years on television. Like some, every morning, I have been inhaling the show since I was a college student. It became a daily ritual, and along the way, I have grown with the show.

The Ellen DeGeneres Show is known for its unpredictable & fun content and celebrity interviews. In her remarkable career, DeGeneres has created an oasis of positivity with comedy & pop culture elements. In a recent interview on The Hollywood Reporter, DeGeneres states, “I just needed something to challenge me.”
The news came a year after Ellen faced serious accusations about encouraging a toxic work environment. In August, a US Weekly source reports that she feels like a walking target because of her success. The source continues that “she is pissed that people have come forward to share these negative stories about her and feels betrayed” and “wants out of the show.”
In 2018, The New York Times published an article that revealed that stepping back from the show wasn’t out of the blue for DeGeneres. Ellen noted that her wife, Portia de Rossi, encouraged her to put an end to filming the show. As a result, she was going back and forth about the decision for some time. Reportedly, the 19th season will officially be her last on NBC.
Here at Shades of Tatiana, we wish Ellen DeGeneres nothing but the best and can’t wait to watch her upcoming season! Be sure to share your thoughts in the comment section below.
